Serving suggestions
With its silky, ripe fruit and subtle spice this red slips down easily on its own. It's also great with tapas, roasted vegetables with couscous, roast chicken, pesto-encrusted lamb.

Description
The honours for the Martinez Bujanda family have been rolling in at high volume since they invested in a magnficent state-of-the-art cellar, which was completed in 1984. Today, 24 years later, it is still one of the finest in Europe with the latest equipment, plus two barrel halls that are temperature and humidity-controlled to provide optimum conditions for ageing the wines.

No fewer than eight of their wines were named as the best in the country by the top-selling Spanish magazine, Gourmet. They were named best bodega in Spain by America's Wine and Spirits and one of the top 50 estates in the world by the top American publication, Wine Spectator, nine times in succession.

Dominius del Marquesado is the creation of Jesús Martínez Bujanda at Bodegas Valdemar. His winemaker is Gonzalo Ortiz who has won many Golds including one at the Tempranillos del Mundo competition, Shanghai (2007). The wine is 87% Tempranillo with a little Mazuelo, all aged in cask for 150 days to obtain the perfect balance between fruit and toasty spice.
